Harmonizing Mind and Body

  • Negative Self-Talk

Inner Critic: The internal dialogue of self-doubt and negative thoughts can significantly contribute to performance anxiety. When individuals engage in constant self-criticism or harbor fears of not meeting expectations, it hampers their confidence on stage.

  • Fear of Judgement

Audience Perception: The concern about how others perceive one's performance can be a major obstacle. Fear of judgment from the audience, peers, or critics may lead to heightened anxiety. This external pressure can create a self-conscious mindset, hindering the performer's ability to express themselves freely.

  • Physical Tension and Poor Body Awareness

Muscle Tension: Physical tension, often manifested through clenched muscles and restricted breathing, can be a significant obstacle. This tension not only affects the quality of the performance but also contributes to a heightened sense of stress and anxiety. Lack of body awareness can make it challenging to identify and release this tension effectively.
