The Burke Music Academy scholarship is a need and merit-based partial scholarship towards lessons through our academy for our Performance Track Program (Voice, Strings, and Piano). (Excludes Discovery Track, Early Starters, and Lesson packages.)

This scholarship is made possible by our generous private donors. All students who are enrolled into Burke Music Academy are expected to work and collaborate at the highest level to ensure their musical growth.

As an organization, we aim to provide our students with holistic support, and actionable resources to ensure their enjoyment and success.

The scholarship covers half of the student’s monthly tuition (Performance Track) for 1 calendar year from enrollment. See below for renewal guidelines.

Applicants will be required to:

1. Submit an application form, video audition, and a 500-word essay.

2. Attend a virtual interview.

3. The applicant or applicant’s guardian(s) must submit recent tax documents, or a notarized income statement from a tax professional if granted the scholarship.

4.Scholarship Recipients are required to perform in the Winter Donor Recital.

The Burke Music Academy Scholarship in 2027 will be granted up to 10 first-time enrolled students to be enrolled in our Performance Track Program.

-Piano

To qualify for this scholarship, combined parental income must not exceed $150,00 dollars per year.

The scholarship renewal is based on family income limits, student performance, lesson/ workshop attendance, and interview.

Scholarship recipients are contracted for lesson enrollment commitment for three (3) years from the original enrollment date. Half tuition payments must be continued for all three (3) years that the scholarship renews.

Note: Scholarships may be revoked on the basis of:

1. Lack of student performance/ workshop participation (Students must participate in at least 1 performance and 1 workshop in a calendar year).

2. Non-payment

3. Excessive Tardiness (3+ missed/canceled lessons in a 60-day period).

4. Lack of consistent practice

5. Inappropriate Behavior

Please refer to your BMA enrollment contract for terms for exclusions.

Applicants will be notified by September 8th, 2026 of their status. Newly accepted scholarship recipients must enroll by September 15th to keep their scholarship.

Scholarships each year are limited, and we invite you to continue to re-apply when our scholarship re-opens in the Spring of 2027.
